Feeling a little lyrical.

I miss blogging. I'm usually a private person, but blogging is for me, not for anyone else. These past few months has been a mind-boggling voyage, academically. Of course, there are other things I need to worry about but I let that settle first. I need a creative platform to emit all these feelings bundled up inside and assemble it neatly in a form of creative writing.

I love English lessons back in school, mainly the-essay writing part. It lets me venture out into the realms of my sometimes non-existent-creativity to spindle words into made-up stories, and not from facts in books concocted by academicians and scholars and scientists and egocentric politicians. It is from me and no one else. I love writing about philosophy and sometimes I wouldn't be too linear to express it and do so by writing fiction navigated by philosophical views.

WRITER'S BLOCK.

Getting back to Calculus, it is then.

"It all ends", but for me, not quite.

Assalam. HI.

Hmm not sure if I'm digging this new layout or not. I haven't been updating at all on my new life in pre-U. I'm WA-HAYYY too lazy for my own good and I haven't that much ample time.

But since something really awesome happened (and coincidentally, it's mid-term break now) so I just want to let it out! Yesterday night, I was on national TV! At least one-fifth of my head did in a nanosecond or two =_= The whole PASUM students got pranked by the TV show Bang Bang Boom (kinda like Punk'd Malaysian version but without the recurrent Hollywood celebrity appearance) I really thought my friends and I will show up because we did something worthy of a brief TV appearance when the camera went on our row to capture the audience's reaction after getting pranked XD

But NO.

Lol nevermind, And now I'm too lazy to elaborate on that, because THERE'S A BIGGER EVENT THAT HAS HAPPENED! And the real reason why I went on to blog about it but keep blabbing about other things in the first place! no it's not about the mid-term exams next week of which I'm not studying for right now but rather,
THIS!

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2
Seriously, the best part of this movie is "The Prince's Tale" (where Harry watches on Snape's memory after he died) Reading the book, it had a huge impact on me, but nothing compared to what Alan Rickman portrayed on the big screen. It was executed really well and covered up all the flaws in this movie (Voldemort-Draco hug, anyone? =_=) I've been an avid fan since I was 8, this series has been a a part of more than half my life, but it could count as whole of my life, really because you know, between you and me, I don't remember the first half of my life much *failed sarcasm* It truly was an amazing ride, and I feel bad for the future generation who could not experience the suspense and the excitement waiting for the next movie or book and quizzing on who's the next beloved character that JK Rowling wants to die off what might happen next.

paintednailsandpolkamusic:

2006 and 2008 were horrible years.
‎”No story lives unless someone wants to listen. The stories we love best do live in us forever. So, whether you come back page by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.”

-JK Rowling

Such beautiful words. Hmm though I don't think I've ever truly shown that I'm a Potterhead on this blog though. My Potter fandom renaissance was 2007 and prior. Coming 2008, where I've been busy with PMR exams and no Harry Potter movies or books came out that year, it kind of died out a bit (and it was the year I start blogging). WOW CAN'T BELIEVE THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED THOUGH O_O After SPM, I read the series again and fell head over heels all over again.

I've went on a post-Potter depression ever since the last scene of Part 2 blacks out. But the upcoming mid-terms has "healed" it better than time ever could. I think It would resume after the mid-term though lol. Inshaallah I really hope to watch it again with Amirah and Alya, I miss them so much T_T

And the moment I've been waiting for,
PHOTOS OF THE HUNGER GAMES CAST!

I ACTUALLY SQUEALED OF EXCITEMENT UPON WATCHING THESE PHOTOS. Can't believe this is really happening. Amirah Hanisah Mariyam Aini Amal Syafiqah Ain Aini! MUST WATCH THIS IN CINEMAS TOGETHER NEXT YEARRRRR

Ok bye then.

PS; Ramadan is next week! Inshaallah I'd really hope I could make the best out of it this year, because I;ve been taking it for granted all these past years and didn't truly appreciate it. I hope I can experience a true Ramadan this year inshaallah. Amin!

A plate of MEE goreng and a well-done STEAK, please.

Geddit geddit? MEE STEAK? Mistake? Hahahaha, hahaha.. hahaaaaa... ha. Right.

Sometimes you'll realize your mistake right away, right after you've done it, like saying something wrong to a person. You should've said sorry straight away, but you were thinking way too much and when you've finally plucked up enough courage to say sorry, you were too late and the timing wasn't right. Sometimes you'd realize your mistake out of blue, only a day later or weeks later.

Ugh I don't feel like writing so I'm just letting my 15-year-old self do the work. LINK

But what's for sure is mistakes make you humble. It's better for you to be humbled by mistakes than being proud of your success after success. For pride and arrogance is a sickness of the heart and won't really make people adore you. He knows what's best for you, after all He is the Lord of The Worlds. That is why after making every effort possible, we should be redha and trust his judgments for there is a reason for everything, no matter how small :)

On  a completely unrelated note, BARCA WON LA LIGA! Oyeahhhhhh. Olela olalaaa visca Barca, visca Catalunya!

@The Curve

Yesterday, Alya, Amirah, Hanisah (she passed her JPJ test and you could see she was very ecstatic lol) and I went out to the Curve. Alya and I haven't seen Amirah in months! When we first met her she bulldozed us a few metres back ehak. We watched a movie, messing out at Popular, went to Big Apple and that's about it because we were only there for 3-4 hours and most of the time was allocated for the movie, but it was a really fun day nonetheless :)

GOOSEBUMPS

This video has 50000+ hits on Youtube already! The first time I saw this on Youtube it was on 300+ and that was like an hour ago! And I actually saw the trailer for the first official time on Tumblr this morning. In French.

Inshaallah Barca will be in the finals! *ohyeahhh*

Watch this video and look at me in the eye and tell me that THESE ARE NOT ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ASTOUNDING SPECTACULAR SHINING SHIMMERING SPLENDID GOALS.

I have to give it to Ibrahim Afellay though. His pass in 0:05 was mashallah, just beautiful. I'm a proud proud Muslim Culé! I really hope Pep will consider to make him a regular appearance together along with Leo, Xavi, Iniesta, Victor, Puyol etc. And Leo's second goal! There's not a close-to-adequate adjective to describe it. It's impossible. And guess what's not impossible? I slept through the goals CAN YOU BLAME ME THE MATCH STARTS AT 2.45 IN THE MORNING Yes. The first Afellay-Messi goal. I woke up about 2 seconds after the second goal so I got to see the replay. But, I'm not mad! I'm happy for them :)

I really hope they'd win at Camp Nou for the second leg! And it will be on to the finals with Man U *giving them the stink-eye* inshaallah. Watch out Mariyam! XD

Toronto Tronoh?

Tomb Raiders?

Baba: "Rapunzelina, rapunzelina, lay down your hijab!"
Me: "Na'ah I'm keeping it on as long as I live inshaallah!" LOL

ALOLOLOLOLLOOOO

Assalam.

Those are the pics from Kellie's Castle. Just Google it to find out what it's all about, eh? Ok? Alrightie then. Well, we departed for Perak on Sunday, the day before the UTP Educamp interview. To be honest, I never liked engineering. At all really. It's because I never liked Physics. Sure, I love learning about all the natural phenomena in the Physics syllabus and all that stuff, but when it comes to man-made structures, I was never really keen on ooh and aah-ing about them. No, I don't have a strict principle concerning that because I had a bad experience with them, but it's just inborn, I guess. The only man-made structures I can tolerate is buildings and its architecture, and you can see me appreciating that when I gaze out the window in automobiles and no it's not a pathetic and lame excuse for daydreaming. That's why I opt for Petroleum Geoscience instead (since of course dentistry course is not available) although it's mainly of my father's choice, but I am trying to get used to the idea.

I didn't take any pictures, but can I say is that UTP is really astounding. So they say, but I never really see a university up close (only my aunts' hostels) to begin with so I can't compare. If you ask me how I felt about the surrounding of it, I'd say it feels like I'm in an airport. Yes, I'm that emotionless =_= But I'm in love with library though. IT'S SPECTACULAR. This picture does not do it any justice because you have to see it for yourself. Ok I'm not actually allowed to go inside, but seeing it from 10 metres away is adequate.

I really thought they were going to all those Science & Maths, personality, critical thinking tests they're all talking about, but turns out it's only for those who applied for scholarship. Because of all the tests and evaluation they have to sit their butts through, their camp took 2-3 days. Really. And there are even MORE tests in the night. Wow. Because it was a private student interview for me, there was only the interview. I don't know but it just feels not right to pay the fees ourselves because I really don't want to burden my parents... Ok sirius macam dah dapat dah kononnya =_=

All of us were arranged in groups of four or five and we were given a case study. Alhamdulillah, I actually read about it beforehand! It was "Green Technology." The batch before us got "International/Local Aid" which I'm 50% oblivious about so alhamdulillah. We were given 30 mins to work our dusty-because-we-havent-touched-a-single-book-in-five-months brains on that. BUT ABSOLUTELY NO DISCUSSION WAS ALLOWED. After that goes the individual interview. I think I did about 50-50. I totally blanked out when they asked me about my curricular activities because I was always putting on preparing my speech on that on hold so padan muka =_= I didn't know how to explain SMART Rangers and I know I did a bad job on that and when they asked me as a Secretary for Puteri Islam, "what activities did you guys do"?

So I said "mostly domestic skills, like cooking and flower-arranging."

*AWKWARD SILENCE*

Oh well. But alhamdulillah, the interviewers were interested in my Tumblr and its concept when I told them about it, alhamdulillah :)

The group interview went quite okay I think, and I made friends with Farzana, Firdaus and Benni. I wish we had more time to chat but well, that's the end of it. We did exchange facebook emails so yeah. And they didn't let us prepare for the group interview beforehand, so it's all SPONTANEOUS. But it was quite okay alhamdulillah. And that's just it!

Well I know that I'll study hard inshaallah because I didn't get straight As, so I want to redeem that. Well I never stressed on putting high hopes on anything for the fear of hurting myself in the end, but this time I'm determined. High hopes all the way (but still maintain down-to-earthness of course) and let the future Amalina handle herself in the end. Yeahhhh I'm sure she'll cope.

Ummi and Baba really wanted to me enter UTP, although the chances are slim because it's really competitive ok there goes my self-esteem again so I'll just try and like Physics for once... And I'm really determined, if I'm ever destined to study here, I won't take every minute for granted inshaallah. So... Hmm. Maybe I should be flipping a few pages off of the dusty old Physics reference book now? Nah. LOL just kiddin'.

"Warfare is ordained for you, though it is hateful to you; but it may happen that ye hate a thing which is good for you, and it may happen that ye love a thing which is bad for you. Allah knoweth, ye know not."

14 missed calls? lololol

Inshaallah this afternoon my friends and I will be going out to watch a movie. "Hop", they say =__= Well they do love cute little animals. Ok ok, I shouldn't be prejudicial towards non-Disney Pixar animated movies, because I've been wrong loads of times by a measly trailer, like How To Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda, so yeah... They also mentioned Harry Potter in the trailer, so that's something. I hope July comes fast, because the last movie will be out! Together with the WINNIE THE POOH (!) and Hanna! I've been preparing myself by rereading the book series (currently in the fifth) and rewatching the movie series all over again.

And I cooked breakfast today and had 14 missed calls from Hanisah because I could only focus one thing at a time *oh yeahh oh yeahhh* Sunny side-up eggs and toast. Well I could only cook Western, though I much much prefer good ol' Malay breakfast. But the spices needed and the intricate quantity is too hard to remember for me -.-

Ok bye.

How my day went.

Just got back from running errands around the neighbourhood. WALKED to buy some things for my sister and WALKED to her school, and heard whispers from the kids “Hey, it’s a visitor!”
After freaking the kids out, I kept WALKING to find my sister’s class.
And got some help from 9-year-old kids who are SUPER ADORABLE and super nice to my sister’s class and we embarked on a journey across the seven seas WALKED to get there.
WALKED to the grocer’s to buy some grocery and food and WALKED to my other sister’s kindergarten to pick her up. And recorded some finishing touches for the video I’m going to edit of my friends when we hung out at the park and held a surprise birthday party for the February girls of which we WALKED to get there last fortnight. And I’ve to go to the driving academy to settle some payments and I’m WALKING to get there.  ok not really though
Why can’t I just have a driving license already ;____;
