Yet another one.
Pretty please? :D

Salam, allo :) Well I just got back from tutoring my neighbour, Zarifah! eheh. Just guess which subject I taught her? MATHS! Yes, Maths. One of my weakest subjects in PMR. But it's Form 2 syllabus, and I've practiced it for over 3 years now (I don't sound too old, right?) so I guess, it's fine. At first, when she asked me to teach her, I was completely abashed, because trust me, Maths isn't usually my thing.

At first, I want to decline the offer, but I guess, I'll try my best (even though it's not much, eheh.) Perhaps maybe because the intention of teaching another has been blessed by Allah, I guess, so alhamdulillah, the P&P process went great :D In addition to that, when you teach others, it will strengthen your knowledge on it too, as well. I also gave her tips on Agama & KH as well, besides chatting about school, funny things and all. She's in MRSM, and she's home for the holidays (of one week), so I guess, we got a chance to reconnect a bit :)

And now, off to my cousins' son's birthday party! (oh food, glorious food...)

Rasullah s.a.w. bersabda:
Apabila seseorang meninggal dunia, terputuslah amalannya melainkan tiga sumber, iaitu sedekah jariah, ilmu pengetahuan yang bermanfaat dan anak soleh yang berdoa untuknya.

Allahumma solli 'ala Muhammad.

Salam, allo :) Sebelum apa-apa, ambo mau mengucapkan SALAM MAULIDUR RASUL.

Ambo, Amirah, Airina (pastu Pn Norliza pon tolong jugak :D) jaga satu belah meja, Alya, Hazirah, Shu jaga satu belah lagi. Tapi ini baru alkisah satu belah.

Banyak betul karenahnya.

Budak 1: Wokeh! (amik 3 bungkus)
Saya kata: Berpada-pada la skit kalau ye pon...
Budak 1: Yelaaah. (letak balik kat atas meja)
*Guruh bergema*
Budak 1: Ha tengok! Tuhan dah marah... (amik balik ketiga-tiga bungkus tu.)

Budak 2: Ini saya ada 3 kupon!
Kami: Aik, asal banyak sangat? Dapat dari mana?
Budak 2: Kawan saya kurus, mau diet.

Budak 3: Eh, kakak Ammar eh?
Kata ambo: Ya ah.
Budak 3: Oh patutlah... (err kalau tak silap dia kata) Patutlah muka sama!
Dalam hati nurani kalbu jiwa raga: ceh.

Toh May Ching: Tak habis ke? Banyak lagih.
Kitaorang: You mau tak lagi? Amik la..
Toh May Ching: Oh tak, tak, sudah kenyang. You boleh pergi jual tepi jalanlah, buat bisnes!
Orangnya kami: ehahahak

Hmm, itulah alkisahnya. Walaupun agak penat, tapi rasa puas dalam hati :)
(di samping kekenyangan, ehehh. alhamdulillah :D)

Salam Maulidur Rasul :)

Terbalik-balik.

We got another set of angpows from our opposite neighbour :D Thanking her, Ummi brought them in. (thanks auntie, btw) I was excited, I didn't hold back from declaring just that, muttering 'yes yes yes!' to the whole household. But of course I was merely joking around, aware of the presence of younger little children around me so I just decided to kid around for a bit. Then some certain 5-year-old, 10-year-old, 12-year-old shook their heads and chorused, "Sabar kak alin, sabar... Ambik elok-elok. Buka elok-elok. Sabar..." -.-

ceh.

Guess what?

We got long-awaited angpows from Uncle and Auntie Wong 35 seconds ago! mwahaha.
Thank you, Uncle and Auntie :D

~ Regina Spektor, Fidelity

Salam, allo :) I've always known to fancy slow and soothing music, like folk or nasyeed, a bit of country is great as well. Though pop songs are fine, but the genre doesn't stand in the apex of my taste in music. Well, I guess that's never gonna change!

At the end of the movie, "Narnia: Prince Caspian" I was mesmerized with the song playing in the scene where Peter and Susan decided not to return to Narnia and that they had learned enough of what's there to learn in the place. So I scouted for the song and then I found it, the song was entitled 'The Call' and was sung by a certain 'Regina Spektor'. I downloaded the song and it stuck in my head for weeks on end and even got to my siblings too. I even recorded a video on Amanda singing the song which was pretty funny and she was only 3 or 4 at the time.

Then I watched (500) Days Of Summer and the catchy tune of the song at the beginning of the movie attracted me, so I went on and searched for the song, and it was sung by Regina Spektor too! The song was very good and the title was 'Us'. Then I started to have interest in her music, then I stumbled upon 'Fidelity' and 'Hotel Song' which are awesome as well. 'Us', 'Fidelity' and 'Hotel Song' have catchier tunes than 'The Call' but I love all of them just the same.

Give her music a listen, perhaps you'd love some of the songs :D Oh yeah, by the way, the third Narnia movie is coming sometime this year! Hope it's after SPM tho, ha.

Anger management.

LESSON #1
A bizarre yet effective way to express your anger.

Eat a piece of watermelon.
Detect glassy seeds.
Take the seeds and throw them hard to the ground and bellow:
"Tumbuh kau! Tumbuhhhhhhhh!"

=_________________________=

Oh well, who knows? Ten months later...
ehakehakehak.
Seriously, it's effective! Then you'd find yourself laughing
about it and then eventually blog about it. Guaranteed.

Oh, August 24.

Awesome cover.
:D

At the 500th, starts the first.

Salam allo :) Well, by the time I start writing this, it's 0042 hours. Already February 12th then. Usually if I was staying up late (usually studying or performing optional prayers or sunah prayers, insyaAllah, though admittedly, not so much, tho, heh.) I'd succumb to sleep eventually, sooner or later. I was downloading this movie, (500) Days Of Summer about two or three days ago. In blu-ray even! *wink wink* I was doing my homework and after noticing that the movie had fully downloaded, I decided to watch it. Yeah, I'm oredi in the holiday mood oredi. CNY! Hope Uncle Wong would give us angpau again this year. mwaahaah.

So anyway, I watched it just now and well, it's really quite good. Though you should know upfront that I don't write movie reviews that often or that well nor do I fancy criticizing bad movies and just let the bad ones that I just happened to watch whisk away and it won't be engraved in my memory for long. But I guess, I'd just make a short review as an exception. Well, this movie is good :) (good start, eh?) Or is it because I'm a sucker for nonlinear narrative? If you're my classmate and friend (or my English teacher, ehak.) you'd probably know that I usually applicate flashback techniques of the sort in my narrative essays. Don't ask me why, it's just that I like doing so, simple as that. Anyway, albeit its tagline, "This is not a love story, it's a story about love," you probably can guess anyway that it's a romantic film that adds a splash of comedy into the mix. You know, romantic comedy.

"This is not a love story,
it's a story about love,"

Sure it had some a wee bit flaws, but anyhow, the main thing that is that it taught me a lesson. That although something that we had found was perfect, flawless, irreplaceable and that we come to love for it, but it turns out, at the end of the day (or 500 in this case) you lost it, someway or the other. You feel that there's an empty hollow hole inside of you where your heart should've been. But you shouldn't give up on hope, because maybe it's just that it's not meant to be. Allah has fated for it to be the way that it is, and there would be a reason behind it, and we'll find out eventually why insyaAllah and that's it's for the best. Yes, the ending was awesomee :D But anyway, it made me fresh-eyed again! So I was doing this BM essay and seeing more homework in queue... not so much. Solution? Coffee. Yeah coffee.

No sugar. Tidaaaaaaaaaaaaak!

"Smile! Let's see those pearly whites!"

Salaam, allo :D Well anybody who's anybody (that I know of, ehak.) knows that I dream to be a teacher slash lecturer or perhaps a columnist slash journalist or maybe a graphic designer someday. Though on which subject, I have no clue. Yes, I don't. So I'm not really sure of what I'm gonna do in the future. Until one fateful day. Ummi just went to a new dentist, and the bill cost a whopping RMx00 ringgit! But the dentist/or the receptionist said before Ummi paid the bills, that the tools used were from Sweden or German or something.. So that's why it's gonna cost a little bit more than usual.

"Alin jadi dentistlah!"

"Ha? Dentist? Ohh.. sebab kes dentist Ummi hari tu eh?"

She smiled her (insert adjective here) smile and said, "Selain tu, untung jugak tau! Contoh cam doktor, dia ramai pelanggan, tapi every visit tak banyak sangat bil dia, kalau dentist, tak berapa nak ramai sangat, tapi setiap kali visit banyak tau! So tak berapa nak beban sangat la kerja dia." (well except for inserting your hands to the unknown realms of the human mouth!)

"Err.. tak glamor la Ummi."

"Tak glamor?! ... " and she went on her lecture and all.

She said that she had never feel certain about my future profession such as this one. And that perhaps Yana had a better chance of getting a job in the future if she went on and work with me.(ceh, macam dah ada klinik sendiri. ehak.) But who knows? Maybe I'll have to work for Yana, right? It all depends on what Allah has in store for us and they all have their own hikmah.

Really I don't care much about the money albeit people thought that was hard to believe, but really... Ah never mind. I thought, I wanted to be a journalist or a graphic designer before because I love to write and graphic design. After putting more intense thought about it (in addition to reading an article concerning the topic in CLEO, ehak.) I wanted to consider them as hobbies because if I was to take them as jobs, I don't think it will be much fun anymore. It would be more exciting if you can expect the unexpected things everyday and can look forward on carrying out your favourite hobbies at the end of the day. Or something like that.

Then I remembered Ain telling me how her sister got into dentistry in the first place. Her sister didn't know which course she's going to take. I was having the same situation like her sister, not knowing what to take. And their mother suggested dentistry, so she went on and took the course. When Alya and I was waiting at the tuition centre for Alya's mom to pick us up, she pointed at a dentist clinic, named Klinik Gigi Ong or something like that. Then we wild guessed that it's probably our ex-classmate's dad's clinic, since the surname matched and he really is a dentist.

Then Amirah said that she's going to the dentist to get rid of her braces once and for all next month. Yesterday Alya sent me a text that she won't be going for school (yes, school on Saturday) for respective reasons and another is that she's going to the dentist. Oke oke, these are all just plain coincidences, but then I visited thestar online just now and saw this article at the most visited section. I dragged the mouse into the title. A line appeared underneath the title, denoting that it's clickable. I clicked it. Twice. aweeesome eh? :D (=_=). This came out.

Dentistry was mentioned second! Oh wow. Of course me getting a JPA scholarship would be a little far out, but I'll try my best, insyaAllah :) Well, I'm not really sure if dentistry is going to be my future career though I feel a good feeling about this one. But sometimes mixed. Well probably because I don't have perfect teeth (AND perfect grades!) like dentists have xD But well, who knows right? InsyaAllah I'll make the right choice with guidance from Allah and my parents, family, friends and all.

"Jadilah dentist, Alin.. Bolehla buat free of charge check-up untuk adik-adik, family, kawan-kawan.."

xD
