No time at all.

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
~ Dr. Seuss

Sometimes, you'd feel it.
Sometimes, you don't.
Sometimes, you think of too much of what people think less about.
Sometimes, you think of too less of what people think much about.
Sometimes, you feel you worth nothing.
Sometimes, you feel you're high up in the air.
Sometimes, you feel you're right about that.
Sometimes, you feel you're right about being wrong.
And sometimes, you think too much of what it is and what's to be.
And at most times, make time for what you're slowly drifting away from.
And every single time, never lose sight of what's important even in the damnest of times.

Remain unspoken.

Salam, allo! Selepas solat terawih hari tu (kat rumah je) tengok citer 'Kami The Movie' kat 8TV. Kat TV2 ada citer 1957: Hati Malaya, semacam berminat jgak nak tgk tapi sbb janji dgn Yana nak tgk citer Kami jadi tgk je la. Citer ni OK jugak la. One of the main themes is that everyone has his or her own secrets. Selepas tgk movie ni tergerak hati nak buat poem, maka ini dia :D

REMAIN UNSPOKEN

A whisper a crime
Words in my head
An encore all over again
Residues been shed
Shadows sneak and linger
To solve the pieces
Even bit by bit by bit
Racing to the aces
Little did they know
Oh, only if they knew
I should have known
Better than knowing.

Basically it's about the persona knowing a secret and it haunts him. It keeps 'circulating' around his head, he always thinks about it and accidentally/unaccidentally let out some 'clues' about it to another. Which makes the other person whom I refer to as the 'shadow' because it always 'follow' the persona everywhere trying to dig out the said secret. The shadow strives in succeeding of knowing the secret even if the clues left by the persona is small and not plenty or sometimes seem irrelevant ("even bit by bit by bit").

The persona then said that if they had known what the secret was, they will surely regret it as did the persona. Well that's my interpretation but one can interpret another with poems. That's the magic of poems :) Well, in addition but I didn't state it in the poem is that the persona knows the secret from somebody else who also knows the secret from an another person. And they all end up regretting it. So the said persona in this poem tries not to blow out the secret, to break the 'chain'.

So the thing that could be learned here is that although our inquisitive side is hard to abstain sometimes, we should always try to respect another's privacy. We surely don't want our own deepest darkest secrets revealed to the world don't we? So we should do the same for everyone else, that is respect their privacy. And if we know a secret, we should always try to not blow it out someway or the other. It's not only concluded to secrets but to the mistakes/disadvantages done by the person, tak elok membuka keaiban org.

And I know all of us experienced the same thing that is not keeping it a secret and telling someone else. And then we warn that someone else to not to tell it, and then that someone else ended up doing the same thing (making an unbreakable chain). I did too which is something that I'm not proud of :( But nevertheless we should always try to insyaAllah.

So that's the poem. Well I need to further sharpen my poem-ing skills but I particularly like the last four verses with the word 'know' in different tenses :D I think this is the only poem that I have done without doing any research or reference or anything like that. This one comes from the heart :) And took about 6-10 mins while the others took weeks! x) Oyeah, and

SELAMAT MENYAMBUTHARI KEMERDEKAAN!

Written in this old little shabby room.

Salam, allo. I think Amirah and I have the same blogging period cause she just posted a post as I posted mine x) On Friday after presenting our oral (thanks again to her because she researched for materials while I was at camp :]), we just talked about the poems we made and a 50s boria that we made for Dina when she's leaving for boarding school and Amirah suddenly had this idea to make a song. So, we made it, along with Hanisah's help :) Here it is, "The Weekend Song":

Good evening, good night, good morning to you,

We have a song just written for you
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do
Written in this old little shabby room.

We're waiting, We're waiting in our little school
Waiting for the teach to get her tools
Today is Friday and the last of school
can't wait to end it pretty soon

We can't wait for Saturday to come along
Well that's really the whole point of this song
Hope that it doesn't get too long
Patience is a virtue that serves us all

Hooray! hooray! 'cause Saturday's here!
So don't you worry, don't hesitate
Just enjoy before it's too late
chicken chop and fries is what i ate

Hooray! Hooray! 'cause Sunday has come!
Let's go steal some plum from mom
then have a picnic under the Sunday sun
The weekends is the best thing ever done!

[Sad Tone]:
Good morning, Good evening , good night to you,
We have bad news to give to you
Sunday is past and the weekend's gone
and now the waiting goes on and on

[Cheerful tone]:
But don't you worry cause we have this song
It'll keep us occupied all day long
'Till the weekend comes back along
We'll just sing the Weekend song!

Copied & pasted from Amirah's blog :)

It's sorta, kinda like a 50s song, you know, the jovial type. It was really fun "kerah-otak"ing and making this song. If you were wondering the "old little shabby room" we were referring to is the classroom. haha. Which is pretty funny 'cause we just had a gotong-royong the day before. haha.

If you can dream and not make dreams your master.

"If" by Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you,
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk to wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your live to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold On!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Salam, allo. Learned "If" by Rudyard Kipling at school today. Both Hanisah and I agreed that this is our most favourite poem of all time. But I don't think that I have ever appreciated a poem this much. Sure I read some good poems but not like this one. Besides, I'm a sucker for things that centers about life and getting up on your feet and keep going on after experiencing failure or in a state of conflict.

Just be calm in confronting problems even if everyone's pointing at you as a crime doer. Believe in yourself and just excuse their feelings about you. Be patient and don't tell lies about people and don't hate them even if they did all these things to you. Besides that, don't boast of the things that you have over others or talk like a hopeless know-it-all and as if you know everything.

And if you have a dream, don't let that dream to overcome your control over it. You must have the will to control it and have the initiative to pursue it. And if you are experiencing triumph, don't become too overjoyed and if you fail, don't give up. Treat Triumph and Disaster equally. Besides that, if all that you have worked for turns a fruitless effort at a blink of an eye, you must have a strong will to start again even if without nothing. You must be brave to risk everything you worked for. If you lose, be strong to start again and never mention or complain or moan about your loss. Be strong and hold on to endure every hardship you face.

If you can please people with your words but still remain honest, be in the company of people of high rank but still get along with ordinary people and if neither enemies nor loving friends can hurt you, if everyone matters to you but not too much, and if you can live throught the most difficult time with all your strength and determination then everything on Earth is within your 'reach'.
