Thank you for everything :)

10th April

It's Dina's last day :( I knew her since I was 10, so, I was sad like all the others as we knew her for so long. Especially Hazirah and Shuhada (Shu) for they knew each other for 10 years and were best of friends since they're in Standard 3. As 10th April comes, Hazirah and Shu spends a lot of time with her.

She is a good friend, a super genius, likes to make her friends laugh and would remember almost everyone's birthday :)

So, of course, we want to make that day a special day :) Like Wawa's farewell + birthday party and Hanim's trip & bowling at the Curve (refer to 21st February post) we'd like to make it special, too :D

She received cards and a "gorilla" card from Alya :P Dina said that card was really "unique :P It also had a  - errr, special meaning to it :P We signed our names and greetings on the gorilla card and I couldn't help but notice she quite frequently open the card now and then on that day :P

Alya mooted an idea and asked me to make a poem for her. I started to make a poem and I don't exactly remember how a song came to mind as I wrote down the first words.

I asked Amirah's help along the way and as we finished the song and we couldn't help but hum it on the way to the canteen. We think it's very catchy :P But I couldn't remember we get the tune from, because the tune is certainly not original but the lyrics are ;)

Amirah and I sneakily teach the others the tune of the song in class and during breaks.

Amirah and I suddenly remembered that we got the tune from Sudirman's Apa Khabar Orang Kampung. Hehe :P Or maybe from the Cucur Adabi commercial. Dunno lah which. Both sounds quite identical to me. Errr, moving on.

As it was the last period and it was Agama so we had to go the Maths room for the class (yes, Agama in Maths room :P ) we decided to do it at that time, briefly. We cannot play the truant card mah. Nanti kena tuduh ponteng plak :P

We said to Dina that we had a special performance for her. We rehearsed a while as she's gone to get her camera from Ain and waited at the back of the school to "perform".

As she recorded the video, we, i.e.  me, Amirah, Alya, Hazirah, Shu, Aishah and Hanisah sang the song:

Salam sejahtera buat Dina
Sudah mahu ke seberang sana
Nampaknya sudah, lama 'kan tak jumpa

Huoi!
Jangan lupa kita

Kami di sini setia menunggu
So, marilah jenguk selalu
Lama-lama pun kami tak jemu

Huoi!
Jangan lupa kita (3x)

Idea asal: Alya
Ciptaan: Amnas (Amalina lah, bunyi pro sikit :P) dan Amirah
Ciplak-an: Irama lagu Sudirman "Apa Khabar
Orang Kampung" ataupun iklan Cucur Adabi.

At the "Huoi" part, we put our hands up in the air, hakhakhak :P After the song, Hazirah and Shu presented a speech to Dina (being recorded too) which was quite funny :P

The "Huoi!" part reminds me of the old, P. Ramlee movies. Don't remember which movie or which scene, but it does reminds me of that. Alya and I joked about the old movies where girls in "kain batik" would swim in the river while splashing each other and the boys would "skodeng" behind the trees :P

Dina said that she was very "terharu" (flattered) http://www.emocutez.com and thank us a million times. Ceh, takde la sampai a million, kuikuikui.

We went into the Maths room to study agama. Yeah, we were quite late :P Don't try this at school, kids. Ever :]

The bell rings! Yeaaahh! As we go down the hill (the school is situated on top of a hill. YE, serius) Alya, Amirah and I watched Dina and her friends throw flour to each other. Hazirah, being a quite of a clean conscious person, didn't :P

As we waited for Pak Cik Mad to pick us up, we watched the video and laughed at the things we did while we sang the song. Kuikuikui :P

Well, all of us just want to say to Dina, i.e.,

Thank you,
terima kasih,
syukran,
jazakullahu khaira,
aligato,
merci,
gracias,
grazie

for everything :)

&&

minta maaf sebab kalau ada apa-apa salah & silap.

Moga Allah sentiasa memberkati anda
dalam perjuangan menempa kejayaan
We'll miss you! :)

31st Of March

Salam, hello! :)

Currently I have a draft in my dashboard just eager in waiting to be posted. At least I think so. HAHAHAK. An article about making mistakes. It's still undergoing editing and touching up process so the readers-who-I-don't-exactly-know-who-out-there would have to wait just a little bit longer.. Sori :[

But today I would like to post about today's events.

4.00 p.m - 6.00 p.m.
My friends and I, i.e: Alya, Amirah, Hanisah, Airina, Hazirah, Dina [(-) Aishah because she was unable to join due to hand injuries] went to Hazirah's (Well, except for Hazirah, because, technically, she lives there. Ohrait. Moving on.) to make a powerpoint presentation for Physics entitled "Safety Features in Vehicles".

Which should be about "Safety Precautions To Take When You Are At A Colleague's House and Unable To Focus On Relevant Obligations Due To Unavoidable 'Distractions'". That's a mouthful. :P

We shared stories, laughed, ate lunch [rendang power!!!], read celebrity magazines, some of us - lovey dovey novels, Doraemon comic books. And somehow we are able to finish the presentation in between all that schedule. Alhamdulillah. Alya volunteered to touch up the presentation with decos and what-not and to put the videos that we downloaded before in it so it could attract the would-be listeners. Thanks btw :)

And not only to Alya but to everyone who showed great dedication and giving great ideas in order to finish the job given. Not. Haha no lah. All of us lend their bit to help :) Thanks to Hazirah for permitting us to do the powerpoint presentation at her house.

Alya and I cycled home and on the way, paid a short visit to Pak Cik Mad's to pay Alya's bus fares and cycled home which was fun :D Feeling the rush breeze on your face and to feast our eyes with the green and brick-y surroundings and all.

Amirah rode on her motorbike with Hanisah on the pillion rider. Bestnya! Amirah also said that she can drive her family's MPV which is the Hyundai Trajet. WAAAAAAH. Irony much? Err, you're probably squinting your right eye whilst tilting your head to the left, but you'll get a few paragraphs later. So errr, moving on.

6.10 p.m.
Finally arriving at home, and I was greeted with the rich aroma of Jalan Ara's pisang goreng (banana fritters) and keropok lekor (Err, fish fritter/chips? To those who dont understand Malay, go search for yourself lah.) Memang sedaaaaaaaap! :9

6.30 p.m.-7.00 p.m.
Then Baba volunteered to teach me to drive. That was the ironic thing I said about earlier. Baba volunteered quite a few times before but due to unavoidable obligations I can't. So this time I haven't any excuse besides finishing up the goreng pisang & keropok lekor which is totally an irrelevant excuse, so I have to. Ammar was going to his tuition and with Baba's guidance who was riding shotgun, Ammar drove to tuition.

Baba can't possibly let his reckless of a daughter to drive through the main road on the way home so he drove all the way to a small highway in town because it was a long straight road to teach me how to drive. Yes, my father is very sensible indeed. Nevertheless, I was dead afraid. Ye lah, mana tak takutnya? Especially in turning up corners at the end of the road. What? Accelerate + brake + controlling steering wheel? [or something like that :P]

And when Baba asks me to pull out to the side of the road which I supposed to hit the brake only, I hit the accelerator too. I got "lectured". http://www.emocutez.com Ofkos lah. Kompius lah, HAHAK :P HAHA, salah saya jgak. Blur sangat. HEHE, but he said with loads of practice, I could be better, InsyaAllah.

8.30 p.m.
As the day turns into the night... Ceh, saspens gile. I found the song I've been searching for since I am approximately 7 or 8 years old. Seriously. In about 5 1/2 months from now I would be 16 so you do the math.

I remembered that I was thinking about the song after I saw the music video but I can't seem to remember the title and how the song goes but I remember that I loved the song and the singer was not really.. Errr, handsome. Hehe :P And suddenly I don't know why, when I was at the kitchen just now I hummed the song.

I had a feeling that it was the song I've been searching for all these years, so I Googled some parts of the lyrics that I remember and there it is - the title of the song. I Youtubed it and there it is - the music video. There it is - the scene I remembered (a birthday party scene) and the singer was the opposite of the adjective I said before. HAHAHAK, quite handsome lah. Hehe. Comey comey gitu. I think everyone's beautiful in their way actually. Hmm, moving on.

So I was happy to find that song. It was quite of an inspirational song of sort and you feel inspired after listening to it. Entitled: Joey McIntyre - Stay The Same

Here's the Youtube URL.

Here's the 4shared URL to download it.

Ohyeah, this is just for fun - these are the
most romantic songs I've ever heard
yet ;)

Malay: Innuendo - Belaian Jiwa
English: Richard Marx - Right Here Waiting

Well that concludes my post for now. Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Wasalam ;)

Untitled. Undecided.

Salam, allo! :D

Alhamdulillah, after a loooong
year of waiting incessantly
(ceh, tak smpai setaun pown),
akhirnya, majalah sekolah edisi 08
berada dalam genggamanku! :D
My poem was one of the ones
that were featured, Alhamdulillah..
Here it is the poem that I'm talking about:

Ache on places never thought I had

All mixed up, abundant and sad

My heart tends to sized up overnight

It doesn’t beat like a feather as light

As I clutch my knees to my chest

I shed blue tears on my cheeks

My heart can’t beat any longer

I was in pain and sore

My feet were difficult to lift

As I slumped to the coarse floor

Nobody took a second look

Neither concerned nor cared

Opens and closes like a dull book

As I shut my weary eyes

Waiting in a long night

Neither hoping nor wanting

I heard a distant footstep

Crept nearer and nearer

As the sun rays enter my eyes

I witnessed a beaming smile

From the jovial face I knew
I knew it swept many blues

From the gentle eyes I knew

It’ll lead me to see a new dawn

From the firm hands I knew

I knew it’s someone I’d depend on

From that, I comprehend,

It was a friend.

~ amNas, April 30th '08, 11.59 p.m.

The person that was called a "friend" in the
last verse actually depends on the reader.
It could be your :
mother, father, best friends, classmates, teachers
whoever actually, that's the magic of poems.
Besides expressing yourself in an alternative way,
the poem actually falls upon the reader's imagination.
For example: Reader A could interpret in a way that
could be the opposite of the interpretation of Reader B.
Err, harap2 faham apa yg saya cuba nak sampaikan.. :P

I'd like to thank Amirah for helping with some verses in the poem :)
Anyway, I don't think my poems are that good cause
most of them are just the straight forward kind, just obvious.
I think I was focusing to much on the rhyming part x) HEHE.
NVM. Hmm, unlike Amirah's, she makes really good poems! :D
I particularly liked the one that's about the war in Palestine
[look up for it in her blog: "Amirah Shukri" in the Blogger Buddies section]

Today, I'd like to show a poem I've been working on.
For the past few years [ceh, bunyi cam dah lama sangat je x)]
I usually make poems that centered around
the people I love and involved with,
about my parents, my friends and my teachers :)
But now I'm making a poem that is not what I usually make.

Well, see it for yourself and
tell me what you think, ok? :)
Btw, note that my work
is not exactly the right kind
to be compared to the the works of
A. Samad Said, William Shakespeare,
Emily Dickinson or William Butler Yeats.
Not even close, okay? x) Ohrait, here it is..
Oh yeah, one more thing, this is only
a preview, only one part of my poem,
since I'm still working on it and
the stanzas are all messed up so
I'll show you the rest when it's ready, insyaAllah :)
Here's the preview:

"In the time when despair and agony
Paid an unfortunate visit
We didn’t came to You
We request for its curb
From the ones that are with us
In times of merriment
From the ones that vanquish
In times of our anguish"

Well, that concludes the preview :)
Mainly, this poem is about how we
dread miseries that befall upon us and
we blame Allah s.w.t for it, astaghfirullah.
But at the same time we never prayed
Or make an effort to solve our problems
We aren't grateful for the success He blessed,
the riches and wealth He bestowed upon us.
We disobey His orders which led us to the path of loss and doom.

I made a lot of research for this poem,
visiting religious sites to increase my knowledge
and because I didn't know most of the translation to English
since I learned the phrases and verses in Malay.
I also got some help from thesaurus and dictionary websites
to increase the depth of vocabulary in my poem. The websites are:

There are others besides, but I lost track of it.
Nevertheless, I'm grateful that I visited the religious websites
because it really opened my eyes. Alhamdulillah :D
I recommend that you visit the first two websites.
You won't regret visiting it, insyaAllah :)

Oye, I'd like a verse like this to put in the poem:

"In Jahannam (neraka, hell) the pain, unthinkable,
In your Jannah (syurga, paradise) I'm not eligible"

Hmm, or something like that. But the stanzas are still messed up
so I haven't found the appropriate places to put these verses yet.
Plus, I haven't put a thought about the title yet.
So, UNTITLED it is for now x)

I'm also in the state of confusion as to whether
I should refer to Allah s.w.t in the poem as You or Thy.
For example: "Grant us Thy forgiveness, for Thy are forgiving."
Hmm, harap2 saya akan dapat pilih yg terbaik nanti InsyaAllah..

Hmm tadi on the way turun bukit sekolah, dok bual dengan Alya.
I was talking about the profession that I'd prefer in the future.
InsyaAllah, kali ini tetap. I want to teach English & Biology! :DD
HAHA, cam reti sangat je Bio.. Nak "kecek" BI pun susah nak buka mulut..
Nak tulis tu takpelaah. Hmm, takpe...
Yang penting, ada minat yang tinggi dan niat yang baik,
usaha yang berterusan dan konsisten,
berkat Allah dan ibubapa dsb, kan? Fighting! Fighting! :DD

Maybe many would recommend being a lecturer as the pay
is higher and it doesn't require much dedication and all that..
That's the point. I don't want to receive my pay for nothing.

Alya pown berpendapat camtu. Apa2pun,
saya tak tahu sgt pasal kerja jadi lecturer ni,
so maybe I shouldn't judge it like that..

Tapi yang saya tau nak jadi cikgu ni bukan senang.
Mesti tension lebih2 lagi kalau murid2 yg diajar
tak peka kepada apa yg kita cakap kat depan.
Err, saya pown sbrnya hendah buat pengakuan;
kekadang saya sendiri pown, err.. tak peka.. :P
Hmm tu susahnya nak jadi cikgu, teknik kena betul,
cara penyampaian kena menarik & all that jazz
Tapi takpe, I accept that as a challenge :D

Hmm, dunnolah.. Kita hanya mampu merancang,
semuanya terletak pada Allah s.w.t. kan?
Hmm, doakan saya berjaya dan agar niat saya ikhlas
utk memikul kerjaya ni, InsyaAllah..
CEH, cam besok je nak kerja dah.

Hmm course pown tak pasti nak amik apa lg sbnrnye..
English course kot.. Hmm, it's still UNDECIDED.
Harap2, hala tujuan yang akan dipilih betul,
membuah hasil dan mendapat keberkatan-Nya InsyaAllah.

Setakat sini sajelah coretan saya pada hari ini, okeyh??
Wasalam, thanks for reading :)
