Of getting tagged

Getting tagged by Mariy. So here goes:

  1. Post these rules.
  2. Write 11 things about yourself.
  3. Create 11 new questions for those you want to tag.
  4. Choose 11 bloggers to be tagged (wow how am i going to find 11 of them ._. )and link them the post.
  5. You are not allowed to tag back.
11 things about myself
1. Ugh I hate getting asked about myself because I'm not a very interesting person, to be honest. Okay, that's valid as point number one.

2. A Potterhead (since I was 7 or 8) and always will be. It's sad not getting updates about the series anymore.

3. Dentist-to-be, in shaa Allah. Currently pursuing my Bachelor degree at Alexandria University.

4. A total nerd. I follow any superhero movies, Star Wars and Star Trek (DON'T JUDGE ME ON THIS ONE, IT'S NOT WRONG TO LIKE THEM BOTH, OKAY), Lord of The Rings, Narnia and the like.

5. I'm planning to put on 5-7 kilos.

6. I like lemon-flavoured Mentos. I wish they sell them as a sole flavour.

7. I hope to be a better servant to Allah, in shaa Allah. Studying in Egypt opens many opportunities, to be honest. It doesn't mean that you can't be better if you live nowhere near an Anbiyaa country, but sometimes, the biah and the kind of people around you helps for you to change for the better, inshaa Allah.

8. I love Yasmin Mogahed's writings. I had the chance to attend her talk at UM last year.

9. The singers that I never get tired of their songs at any given time are Birdy, Dawud Wharnsby Ali, and well, that's about what I can think of at the moment. And songs like Bee Gee's "You Win Again" and Counting Crow's "Big Yellow Taxi" etc.

10. My ringtone is Imagine Dragon's "On Top of the World".

11. I miss my little siblings so much, and little kids in general. Seeing children on the street sometimes could really light me up after a long day.

Can I not do the rest hua hua huar

My sisters are obsessed with the soundtrack. It's getting annoying.

Mashaallah. Just have a look at this and realize how insignificantly small we are.
I screamed at some parts.

Peace

Three of my little sisters are running in a concentric circle and saying
'I'm first!'
'No I'm first!'

Bless them.

Denim

I love this. I've been looking for a denim shirt for ages but to no avail.
I love it that still covers her feet and it doesn't look out of place.

Feeling a little lyrical.

I miss blogging. I'm usually a private person, but blogging is for me, not for anyone else. These past few months has been a mind-boggling voyage, academically. Of course, there are other things I need to worry about but I let that settle first. I need a creative platform to emit all these feelings bundled up inside and assemble it neatly in a form of creative writing.

I love English lessons back in school, mainly the-essay writing part. It lets me venture out into the realms of my sometimes non-existent-creativity to spindle words into made-up stories, and not from facts in books concocted by academicians and scholars and scientists and egocentric politicians. It is from me and no one else. I love writing about philosophy and sometimes I wouldn't be too linear to express it and do so by writing fiction navigated by philosophical views.

WRITER'S BLOCK.

Getting back to Calculus, it is then.

How my day went.

Just got back from running errands around the neighbourhood. WALKED to buy some things for my sister and WALKED to her school, and heard whispers from the kids “Hey, it’s a visitor!”
After freaking the kids out, I kept WALKING to find my sister’s class.
And got some help from 9-year-old kids who are SUPER ADORABLE and super nice to my sister’s class and we embarked on a journey across the seven seas WALKED to get there.
WALKED to the grocer’s to buy some grocery and food and WALKED to my other sister’s kindergarten to pick her up. And recorded some finishing touches for the video I’m going to edit of my friends when we hung out at the park and held a surprise birthday party for the February girls of which we WALKED to get there last fortnight. And I’ve to go to the driving academy to settle some payments and I’m WALKING to get there.  ok not really though
Why can’t I just have a driving license already ;____;

Fading into beautiful light

The best cover of a song I've heard.

Tomorrow is the last day of SPM. Not sure if I should be elated or saddened by the thought of saying goodbye.
Goodbye to teachers and the friends and schoolmates that I'd probably never see again, that is, not ze books -.-

M&M

1. I vowed to not be on facebook or blogger until at least after the trials (googling Leo every day is a special exception) But I just need to lift my spirits up a bit after I realized "something" and after 7 days of sitting for exams.

.
.
.
.
.

DONE 8D

2. Leo has healed and was awarded the Golden Boot or Sepatu Emas, if you're the type of person who watch Indonesian fairytale telemovies with your little sisters on TV3 all too frequently. *di bumi, lautan di udara, begitu banyak kisah tersimpan... dunia khayalan, dunia impian...* Moving on.

"All awards are special, but it is thanks to
the help of my team-mates that I have won,"
- Leo Messi.

3. I've told you in my birthday post that I've always wanted a picture with the sun shining down my back. But I want THIS picture with the sun shining down our my back. ehak.

EDIT: I told you in my bday post  before that I wanted to take a photo with a Leo Messi cardboard because I'd freak out if I ever met him in person. Turns out, it really EXISTS! 8D Ehahahak. But he looks young in this picture, and his hair was still long at the time.

4. I love Maher Zain's songs even more. The first one I've heard of his is InshaAllah, Palestine Will Be Free and The Chosen One, but my all-time favourite would have to be Open Your Eyes. These songs not only have good beats, but they remind you of all the things we've always took for granted, and they contain good messages for today's Muslims. And he's coming to Malaysia! He's coming to UIA and my auntie, Cik Su, who's studying there, got the tickets! There's going to be a fan meeting and everything! It's next Wednesday, DURING the trials, but Cik Su promised to buy some merchandises though, so I guess it's okay. He's holding a concert at MBSA Shah Alam in two weeks, but the tickets were sold out, too -.- Haaih. Maybe next time.

What makes this mv awesome is that some of the scenes are inspired by the life and teachings of Nabi Muhammad, you'll notice some of them, I'm sure :)

Oyes, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HAZIRAH! :D

I'm 17! So..

17 Things That I Want To Do After SPM

  1. Learn Arabic, Mandarin and Spanish so that I could be Leo Messi's translator.
  2. Reread the Harry Potter series and rewatch the Back To The Future trilogy and watch all P. Ramlee movies.
  3. Witness a whale and swim with dolphins. And play in the rain. No eye-roll, please -.-
  4. Take a photo with the sun shining down my back.
  5. Go to the only state in Malaysia I haven't been to, Sabah and also the Taman Negara. Or witness the mountains where some scenes in Lord Of The Rings were shot in New Zealand.
  6. Consider and rethink of being a wildlife photographer (one of many in my list) for Nat Geo or something someday. Because it's a perfect mix of my love for wildlife and Allah's wondrous creations and photography. I became inspired after watching a documentary of the world's greatest wildlife photographers and this. Though I've never took a single DECENT picture of any wild life. Would this be considered as wild life? -.- Kucing liar pon.
  7. Teach my sister and brother for his PMR.
  8. Prove to everyone that she too could excel, in things she loves, in her own way. And that there are more to things that meets the eye and the narrow judgments integrated in our heads.
  9. Perform Hajj or umrah, insyaallah. And finish the tafseer of Al-Quran, insyaallah.
  10. Visit my sister's grave in Iowa, insyaallah.
  11. Go to Palestine in a humanitarian effort. Hah, even here, I think I did close to nothing -.-
  12. Brave myself up to speak in front of a crowd. Though I've spoken to more than 100 people at that SMART ranger seminar :D But that's in front of people that I don't know at all (but with someone I love and know in the frontlah, like my parents, ecehceh -.-) It's more terrifying to speak in front of people that you do know.
  13. Cycle the whole town and smile to everyone that I happen to pass by and avoid getting weird stares and urgent calls to National Security.
  14. Eat a big chocolate bar all by myself for once. Jual ikan -.-
  15. Take a photo with a Leo Messi cardboard (because I'd freak out if I ever met him in person -.-)
  16. Take a photo with that pose I've always wanted with my siblings and have a photoshoot with my friends on freshly-mown grass but with loads of candid pictures.
  17. Make my parents smile.

Phaseboocke

Salam allo.

I want that blazer! Ohh I forgot, I live near the equator.

Salam allo.

Ain't this outfit preety? This is Hana, and if I'm not mistaken, she's a muslim Japanese; and she has her own fashion line called Maysaa or something. I like her style, although some are a wee bit extravagant for me (if you know me, you'd know how 'extravagant' scale of mine exceeds. HINT: not much.) I especially like this simple one of hers, it's a wee bit like me, a LITTLE tomboyish and perhaps, the only hints of (muslimah) femininity is perhaps the headscarf and some other things, like some floral prints and stuff. But of course, I can't see myself wearing a pashmina. I've wore it a few times, but was left under the impression of being totally out of whack, and downright weird. It's pretty when I see others wear it, but it just doesn't seem to fit me.

Of course that does not help considering the minuscule portion of self-esteem I have in myself.

Or is it because I have self-esteem as vast as the (insert a witty simile here) that I feel uncomfortable in wearing things out of my norm?

But nevertheless, I like browsing around muslimah style blogs and watch in awe on how creative and risky they are in styling themselves and all, and show the world that they too could glam up, but still hold on to their roots.

Well except me lah, ehak. Oh and a fact: I still wear the (only) jeans I have since I was 12 or 13. Minus the belt and the twice-fold. And I have two exact pairs of it since I INHERITED one from my LITTLE brother who outgrew it eons ago.

The past week.

1. I got stung.

2. I didn't get a PLKN post.

3. Went to a where-to-study seminar.

4. Made spaghetti goreng with my friends. SEDAAAP :D

5. Saw that surprised look on Alya's face when she finally got her birthday present.

6. Eheh.

7. Went to Pizza Hut with my friends on our second last week of Koko.

8. Watched Inception. Which is kind of weird since I only watch animated cartoon-ish movies at the cinema with my family. But it was good!

10. Eheheh.
